I used THIS RECIPE to make some savory muffins for lunch Friday. Served with a wedge of very sharp cheddar (because I felt like eating some) and a sliced tomato.
These muffins are way better than any sandwich I have made in a while. I modified the recipe by using shredded zucchini instead of roasted red peppers, since I don't like them, and also cut the recipe in half. THAT was a mistake, since it would have been awesome to have more of these yummies to freeze and have for lunches later. They would probably be even better cut in half and toasted to warm them up (if you don't gobble them all up fresh out of the oven). I guess I will just have to make more next time.
And, since we are talking about food, I should tell you about this weekend's tea. It is some regular Bigalow ILOVELEMON I got on sale at the discount store, paired with some delicious honey I bought at the Washington County Fair from beekeepers in South County, RI called the Ashaway Apiary. The honey is their light early spring "harvest" mostly from Black Locust Flowers. Its good.
What else?
I have been taking weaving lessons. I had my second one this morning. So far, its loads of fun, and Jonne is a great teacher. I am now at the part of the class where I get to take the table loom home and practice. Jonne calls it "homework" but I think it is really an enticement to get me to buy a loom of my very own...LOOK YOU COULD HAVE ONE OF THESE AT YOUR HOUSE. YOU COULD USE IT ANYTIME. Your trickery will not work on me Jonne. Well, at least not while I still have your table loom here at my house.
Living room update - done rearranging. Pictures later after I get some fresh flowers for the table. I am happy with the way it came out.
